Next week celebrating a ¡QUARTER OF A CENTURY! Sinfonia Rotterdam with a program close to my heart.
The concert program opens with Rossini's Sonata nr.1, as it did at the very first concert of the orchestra in the Paradijskerk Rotterdam in March 2000, and concludes with Mendelssohns Italian Symphony, the very first symphony I conducted as professional conductor in Varna Bulgaria 30 years ago. Warmly nestled in this nostalgia enjoy South American passion during Oschers 'Rapsodia Latina' with the phenomenal trumpet soloist Lucienne Renaudin Vary

However the feast week already takes off in collaboration with Cultuur Concreet on Thursday the 13th of March with concerts throughout Rotterdam. After a coffee concert at 11 am in the LCC Romeynshof we sling our instruments over our shoulders to cross the river Maas where we give surprise pop-up concerts in shopping centres in the south of #rotterdam

After performing Brahms' 3rd symphony in Mexico during the #SinfoniaMexicoTour 2024 we now, together with a selection of internship players from Codarts & Koninklijk Conservatorium - Royal Conservatoire, bring this monumental symphony to #Rotterdam & #The Hague.
