Wishing you a Merry Christmas!! What a joy today to conduct my final concert for this year with our wonderful Sinfonia Rotterdam in a completely sold out Kloosterkerk in The Hague. And what a program:

+ the complete 2nd Act of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker
+ a glass of bubbly and a typical Dutch 'oliebol' on the house

Grand impressions after our last tour concert in the Cathedral de Zamora last night!! Thank you to the whole orchestra and guest concertmaster Lucian Leonard Raiciof for the excellent music making. Enormous gratitude to the FestivaldeMúsica de Morelia Miguel Bernal Jiménez for bringing us to Mexico and to Sandra Meluk and Désirée Halac for arranging the tour. Not to forget our multitask general manager Mariët Struijk and the Sinfonia Rotterdam team for all the organising 🙂

What a grand opening of the Sinfonia Rotterdam #sinfoniaclassics series in a sold out de Doelen yesterday evening. Chopin Piano Concerto no.2 with the wonderful Anna Fedorova and two unknown gems from the early 19th century, Fanny Mendelssohn Overture in C and Johann Wilhelm Wilms Symphony no.1. Couldn't get tickets last night or thinking of what to do this evening? Don't miss the last tickets for this program in the beautiful ambiance of the Kloosterkerk The Hague this evening!!
